Gary Raymond Schultheis – February 15, 1955 – November 22, 2007

Gary Raymond Schultheis, 52, of Fallbrook, Calif. passed away Nov. 22, 2007.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1955, in Albert Lea to Dean and Elsie (Plantage) Schultheis. He graduated from Albert Lea Senior High School in 1973 and attended Minnesota School of Business.

Gary worked with the family business and then went to California, where he worked with HUD for some time. He also worked on oil seismic rigs in Texas. Returning to Albert Lea, he worked with family. He returned to California and was in general contracting until the time of his death. (He loved the warmth of California.)

Survivors include his parents; one brother, Steven of Albuquerque, N.M.; three nephews, Matthew, Ben and Travis (Lisa); a niece, Ashley Schultheis of Hollandale; two great-nephews, Gavin and Hayden; and a great-niece, Sophie.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Roger, in December 2003.

Gary had a host of friends wherever he went and always put his family and friends first. He will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 2800 E. 57th St., Sioux Falls, S.D.

Gary Raymond Schultheis was born in Albert Lea, the son of Dean Raymond Schultheis and Elsie Henrietta Plantage.

Gary was buried in the Osage Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa; see tombstone on IAGenWeb Gravestone Photo Project (GPP).
