LITTLE CEDAR, IOWA — Funeral rites were here Tuesday for Leon Smith, 72, long time resident of Mitchell County, who died of a paralytic stroke Friday evening at home of his daughter at Sowler, Indiana.

He lived all of his life in Mitchell County with exception of the last year.

He leaves a son, Maurice, Albert Lea, Minnesota; a daughter, Mrs. Murrell Tiffany, Sowler, Indiana; a brother, LeRoy, and sister, Mrs. Inez Bucknam, both of Little Cedar.

His wife preceded him in death.

NOTE: Iowa Birth and Christening record for Norris Dunn Smith; born January 15, 1904 in Mitchell Co., Iowa, the son of Leon G. Smith and Hattie Dunn.
