Robert Martin Tienken – May 9, 1901 – January 3, 1968

Robert Martin Tienken was born May 9, 1901 to Charles and Jessie (Paul) Tienken in Jamestown township. He attended rural schools and farmed in the Riceville vicinity all his life.

He married to Lenora Robbins of McIntire on July 3, 1924 at Cresco, Iowa. To this union was born one son, Robert lee.
Mr. Tienken was a member of the Riceville Baptist Church.

He passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 3, 1968 at his farm home.

Surviving are his widow Lenora, his son Robert and one granddaughter, one sister Mrs. Lila Bowers and one brother Harry both of Waterloo, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and infant grandson.

Funeral services were held Sat. Jan. 6, 1968 at 2:00 PM at the Riceville Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Kirtley officiating. Miss Leanne Clausen was the organist with Mrs. Viva Newhouse and Mrs. Lois Kellogg the singers.

Interment at Riceville cemetery at Riceville, Iowa. Casket Bearers were Lee Lenth, Adolph Brunner Sr., Ray Jacobus, James Fellows, Harold Seidel Sr. and Raymond Stark. Arrangements were with the Martz-Hutchins Funeral Home in LeRoy, Minnesota.
