DIES IN U.S. SERVICE IN CHINA

Word has been received by Mrs. Pearl Trego at Osage, of the death of her oldest son, Fred G., on the 27th of December, while serving as a first class private in the U. S. Marines.

The message was sent by radio to Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Trego received the sad intelligence by wire at her home in Osage less than 24 hours after the death occurred.

No details were received and at the request of the mother the remains will be returned to Osage for burial. The deceased was a nephew of Mrs. B. B. Walrath of this place.
