James Francis Walsh – June 19, 1883 – March 4, 1963

Osage – J. F. Welsh, 79, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Monday afternoon at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born at Blue Mound, Wisconsin, he came to Mitchell County 55 years ago. He had been a farmer all his life.

Surviving are three sons; Glen and Ivan, both of Osage; Leonard, St. Paul, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren and two brothers.

Note***The paper had his last name spelled wrong. It was WALSH and not Welsh. According to his Wisconsin birth record he was born in Pakerville, Iowa Co., Wisconsin. His parents were in Blue Mound in 1920.

James Francis Walsh was born June 19, 1883 in Pakerville, Iowa County, Wisconsin.
He married Ida Bertha Segessenman, the daughter of Edward Segesseman and Barbara (Zweifel) Segesseman. His wife died April 15, 1946. They are buried in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa
