FRANK HELLER DIES
AFTER LONG ILLNESSJohn Francis (Frank) Heller, 76, of Orchard died at Mercy hospital in Mason City November 20, 1945, after being in failing health for several months. He entered the hospital November 6.
Funeral services were held on Saturday at the Champion Funeral Home, the Rev. G.S. Hartong, pastor of the Methodist church at Osage, officiating. Burial was in the Orchard cemetery.
John Francis Heller, the only child of Lewis and Sarah Jane Fulkerson Heller, was born on October 22, 1869, at South Bend, Indiana, coming as a baby to Greene county, Iowa, where he resided for 45 years.
He was united in marriage to Ida Osborn on March 19, 1896, at Jefferson, Iowa. To this union five children were born. One child died at birth. He and his family came to Mitchell county, Iowa, in 1914, settling on the farm three miles east of Orchard where he resided until his death. He was baptized in the Mt. Horeb Methodist church at Jefferson as a young man.
Surviving are his widow; four children: Ralph of Osage, Verl of Orchard, Donald of Spokane, Washington, and Hazel Ball of Waterloo; and nine grandchildren.
