Henry Hambrecht -- February 9, 1869 – May 31, 1949

Stacyville – Funeral services Friday for Henry Hambrecht, who died at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital at Mason City will be Tuesday.

He was born February 9, 1869, to Fred and Christina Hambrecht, who had taken up farming land 12 years before in 1857.

He was the last survivor of his generation. He saw the first train to arrive in this area. He never married and spent his entire life of 80 years on the home place. In recent years he had lived with his tenant, Gene Krebsbach.
