PETER KLAPPERICH
KILLED IN AUTIO ACCIDENT
TUESDAY NIGHT(Stacyville Monitor)
Peter Klapperich, age 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Klapperich, residing northwest of Johnsburg, Minnesota, was almost instantly killed Tuesday night when his Dodge car turned over into a ditch a few miles northwest of Johnsburg. The young man was driving home from Adams when he tried to pass another car which had stopped because of faulty lights. In trying to pass, the Klapperich car caught the fender of the other car and skidded into the ditch. When he tried to right the car it somersaulted, it is believed, throwing him out and crushing his chest.
There were no marks or cuts found on his body. John Smith, who was on his way home, came upon the scene and did his best to revive Mr. Klapperich. The parents were notified immediately and the body was taken to the farm home.
It was a terrible blow to the parents, relatives and friends. The young man was their only son, a fine fellow and a hard worker, and his sudden taking away has caused intense pain to all.
He is survived by his parents and three sisters, Katie, Barbara and Paulina.
