DIED TUESDAY, AFTER
SEVERAL-YEARS ILLNESS
Mrs. L.D. Flack, who has passed through a long, painful illness from cancer, succumbed to the disease on Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock. Her death had been expected daily for some time, and the end was welcomed, by those who loved her, as a release from suffering.
Mr. and Mrs. Flack have lived in Osage for many years, and have raised a family of sons and daughters who rate high in the community. Left to survive are her sons, Robert, Reece and Ben, and daughters, Mrs. Will Lillibridge, Berg. N.Dakota; Mrs. Will Tallman, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. D. L. Russell, Waterloo; and Mrs. Will McClemmons, Dougherty, Iowa. A sister, Mrs. Will Bailey, and two brothers, George and John Clark, all of Mason City, also survive.
Funeral services are to be held on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at the Catholic Church, and burial made in the Osage Cemetery.

L.D. FLACK, WHO
DIED LAST WEEK
Mary Agnes Clark was born in Linsey, Canada, August 7, 1854. She and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Clark, moved to Harpers Ferry, Iowa, in 1865, and resided there until her marriage to Lorenzo Don Flack, at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, November 4, 1874.
To them were born ten children, two of whom died in infancy, and a daughter, 11 years of age of scarlet fever. The seven children, who with the husband survive, are as follows: Mrs. W.H. Lillibridge, Berg, N. Dakota; Mrs. W. H. Tallman, Ridgefield, Wash.; Mrs. William McClemons, Dougherty, Iowa; Mrs. L.D. Russell, Waterloo, Iowa; three sons: Robert W., Thomas R.. amd Benjamin P. Flack, all of Osage. Also, a sister, Mrs. William Berry of Mason City and Thomas Clark of Coleman, S.D. She had thirty-two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Thursday morning at 9 o'clock and burial made in the local cemetery.
