Last Rites Tuesday
for Retired Farmer

OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral services for Ben Johnson, 72, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Osage Fellowship Hall. Burial in the Toeterville Cemetery. He died Saturday at an Osage hospital following a long illness.

Survivors include the widow, two step-children, four step-grandchildren, a brother, John, of Valley City, North Dakota, and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Peterson of Mona and Mrs. Jacob Meyer, Lyle, Minnesota.

Mr. Johnson was born near Mona where he spent his young manhood. He worked all his life as a farmer.

In 1933 he was married to Mrs. Cora Snell. The couple lived on farms near Osage, retiring to Osage in 1944.
