Funeral services for Mrs. Charles (Sadie) Adams, 88, of Osage, who died Sunday, August 12, 1984, at an Osage nursing home, will be on Wednesday, August 15, 1984 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage, Iowa. The Rev. K. Belk will officiate, and burial will be in the Osage City Cemetery.
Sarah Minnie Pflieger was born on June 6, 1896 to Anton and Augusta Johns Pflieger in Harrison county, Dunlop.
She was baptized on December 30, 1897 at Webster City, Iowa, and attended school in Dunlop. She was confirmed at St. John's Evangelist Lutheran Church at Dunlop, on August 10, 1910.
On January 20, 1915 she was united in marriage to Charles Adams at St. Paul Lutheran parsonage om Webster City. They lived two years in Webster City and then moved to Mitchell County. They farmed around Stacyville and Osage and moved to Osage in 1959.
Survivors include eight children: Mrs. Gerald (Vivian) Orman of Mason City, Mrs. LeRoy (Genevieve) Walters of Osage, Mrs. Edward (Geraldine) Johnson of Waterloo, Mrs. Joe (Mildred) Valasek of Osage, Mrs. Betty Brooking of Greshman, Oregon, Charles Adams of Ellensburg, Washington, William (Bill) Adams of North English and Richard Adams of Waterloo; 31 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents, two brothers, two sisters and one great-grandchild.
