DIED IN WATERLOOFuneral services for William F. Overkamp, 64, a former resident of Osage and father of Mrs. Harold Erdmann of Osage, will be held this morning (Thursday), at ten o'clock at the Sacred Heart Church in Waterloo and burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Osage.
Services at the grave will be at two o'clock this afternoon. Mr. Overkamp died on Monday, at 7:45 a.m. at the Presbyterian hospital in Waterloo, of asthma and complications.
William F. Overkamp was born on June 1, 1884, at Burlington, Wisconsin, the son of William and Anna Overkamp, and moved with them as a young man to Osage where they farmed. In 1906 Mr. Overkamp moved to Platte, South Dakota, where he farmed. At Platte, he married Agnes Quinn in 1906. She preceded him in death in 1921.
Mr. Overkamp went to Waterloo in 1925 and for 17 years was employed at the John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo. He retired about five years ago.
Survivors include one son, Pat, of Platte, South Dakota; one daughter, Mrs. Harold Erdmann of Osage; one granddaughter, Loreen Julie Erdmann; two sisters, Mrs. Jesse Payne of 513 Dawson street in Waterloo, and Mrs. J. J. Ryan of Lincoln, Illinois.
His parents, wife, one brother, Frank, and two sisters, preceded him in death.
