GIRL INJURED IN CAR WRECK
FUNERAL PROCESSION HALTED BY COLLISION ON BUSY CORNER.

Charles City, Aug. 14 – The funeral procession for Thomas Egan, Osage, was halted here this morning shortly before noon when a car driven by Thomas Sullivan in the line was crashed into by a car driven by Fred Myers, a farmer north of here. The accident happened on the corner of Main and Clark Streets.

Margaret Sullivan, 10, was the only occupant of either car to receive injuries. Several cuts on her face were closed by stitches in the hospital here shortly after the accident. Both cars were badly damaged.

Funeral services for Mr. Egan had been held at 9 o’clock in the morning in Osage and the funeral group were on their way to the Charles City Cemetery for burial services.

Previous to his death, Mr. Egan had been county recorder for Mitchell County for 17 years.
