Gustave (Gustav) Johann Anderson was born 1886 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to John Gerhard Anderson & Karen Gudbrandsdatter Liaeker, the oldest of their five children. His siblings were: Gina Louise (1888-1908), Julius (1891-1979), Lise (1894-1954) and Anders (1896-1976).

Gustave married Anna Olivia Framstad on March 19, 1911 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. (Anna born December 9, 1889 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa, died May 1976 same). The couple had two children: John and Dorothy. Gustave was a farmer.

Found in the 1895, 1900, 1910 and 1915 censuses living at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:

1900: John G. Anderson 40, Karn Anderson 41, Gustav Anderson 14, Gina L Anderson 11, Julijns Anderson 9, Lise Anderson 5, Anders Anderson 3, Gulbe? Licker 71.

1910: John G. Anderson 50, Karen Anderson 51, Gustave Anderson 24, Julius Anderson 19, Lizzie Anderson 15, Andrew Anderson 13, Gulljar Larson 81.

Gustave Johann Anderson died January 7, 1918 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, IA.
