Lois Winer was the daughter of Andrew and Grace (Palmer) Nelson. She was raised on a farm and educated in Mitchell County. She moved to Cresco, Iowa.
She married Harold Hoopman in Cresco. She moved to Kennewick, Wash. Mr. Hoopman died in 1961.
She married Sidney Winer, and the couple lived in Mesa, Arizona, and Osage, Iowa.Mr. Winer died in 1992, and Mrs. Winer then moved to Dayton to be near her son. She had lived in McMinnville since 1998. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and playing cards. She belonged to the Eagles Lodge in Kennewick and the Rebekah Lodge in Iowa.
Survivors include a son, Nelson Hoopman of Dayton; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Dee Kasko, in 1985.
Burial was in the Riverview Heights Cemetery, Kennewick, Benton Co., Washington.
