HENRY SMITH, OLD
RESIDENT OF OSAGE,
DIED FRIDAY NIGHT

Henry Smith died at midnight Friday at the county home, where he had lived for the past six years. He was 81 years of age, and had been suffering from the usual ills attendant on old age.

Mr. Smith had no close relatives living here, so the Press-News finds it difficult to assemble the facts of his history. He was, we believe, an uncle to the late Arthur D. Smith, and Mr. Smith's wife, nee Maggie Morrissey, has several relatives in the vicinity.

Deceased and his wife owned their own home here in Osage where they resided during the many years that he was employed at the greenhouse. Following Mrs. Smith's death seven years ago, Mr. Smith went east to visit a brother for a time; then returned to Osage, sold his home, and went to the county home to live.

His only surviving near relative . . . . (missing)
