JOE MEIRICK DIED
FOLLOWING STROKE;
ILL ONLY FEW DAYS

Joe Meirick, 60, one of the best known men of the New Haven-Elma vicinity, died at his home in Elma, Tuesday afternoon, November 10, 1936, following a stroke of paralysis suffered Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Meirick, the latter nee Ellen Rodemacher, had lived all of their married life on a farm near New Haven, until a year ago when they moved to Elma. One of their sons, Paul operates the home place.

At home are Herbert, Edna, Mercedes and Virginia. The other children are Carl of Detroit, Walter, New Haven, Mrs. Clarence Kuhn of near Elma, who with the wife and mother, survive. Another daughter, Mrs. Dora Schweiger, passed away three years ago.

Funeral services were held this morning (Thursday) at the Elma Catholic Church, and burial was made in the New Haven cemetery.
