Marie Christina (Eisterhold) King – 1923-2007
RICEVILLE, Iowa -- The funeral for Marie C. King will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville, Iowa. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Adams.
Mrs. King, 84, of Riceville, died Saturday (April 14, 2007) at her home.
Marie Christina Eisterhold was born April 4, 1923, in Pittsville, Wis. They moved to Stacyville, Iowa, where she attended Visitation School. In 1942, she moved to Taopi, where she met Philip King. They were married Oct. 18, 1944, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams. In 1953, they moved to McIntire, Iowa.
Survivors include six daughters, Suzanne (Robert) Lohuis of McIntire, Irene (Ed) Huegel of Alta Vista, Iowa, Margaret (James) Osland of Eagan, Minn., Theresa (Brad) Wolff of Grand Meadow, Eileen King of Rochester and Carol (Daniel) Rainey of Stewartville; four sons, Paul (Diane) of Rose Creek, LaVerne (Donna) of Austin, and Marvin (Kathy) and Richard (June), both of McIntire; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Francis "Bud" of Brownsdale, Ambrose of Houston, Texas, and Eugene (Rita) Eisterhold of Littlefork, Minn.; and a sister, Sr. Rita Eisterhold of Campbellsport, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982, a brother and a step-great grandson.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Conway Funeral Home in Riceville, and an hour before the service Tuesday also at the funeral home. There will be a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. today and a Parish Vigil
