Dorothy Elizabeth (Wilder) Lillie, 89 1922-2012

The funeral service for Dorothy Elizabeth Lillie will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, at the Zion United Methodist Church 201 East Main Street, Sargeant, Minnesota, with Rev. Sharon Goetzinger officiating. Inurnment will be in the spring at Woodbury Cemetery in Lyle, Minn. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.

Elizabeth Lillie, 89, died on Saturday morning, February 11, 2012, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield.

Dorothy Elizabeth Wilder was born on April 1, 1922, in Otranto, Iowa, the daughter of Ivan and Frances (French) Wilder. She was united in marriage to Dale E. Lillie on June 14, 1942. Elizabeth was employed at Sargeant Service Company before retirement. She was a member of the Hayfield Senior Citizens, Zion United Methodist Church in Sargeant, attended the Church of Christ in Austin. Elizabeth and Dale were elected King and Queen of the Senior Center in Hayfield. Elizabeth enjoyed teaching Sunday School, reading, quilting, traveling, was the family genealogist, and was a great inspirational writer.

Elizabeth enjoyed her kitty cats, especially Fluff Ball.

Elizabeth is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale on June 23, 1997; two brothers and one sister. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield is in charge of arrangements.
