HOFLAND FUNERAL RITES HELD NEAR ST. ANSGAR
St. Ansgar, May 3 – Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in Six Mile Grove church for E. A. Hofland, 82, who has been in failing health five years and confined to his bed six weeks.
Mr. Hofland was born in Sogndahl, Norway, December 5, 1951. He came to America in 1870 at the age of 19. He settled in Mitchell County where he lived since.
In 1898, he was united in marriage to Gertrude Engeseter, who preceded him in death.
