Susan Margaret (Walker) Baker 1946-2006

Baker, Susan (Walker) Age 60, Eden Prairie, Minnesota, passed away at home 12/11 following an 11-month battle with cancer. She was preceded by parents, Dr. Thomas and Lucille Walker of Riceville, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, Russell; sons, Jake (Orla), Tom (Laura) Baker, and brother, Tim (Linda) Walker.
Susie grew up in Riceville, Iowa, graduating from the University of Iowa with BA's in Special Education and Psychology. Susie & Russ lived in Germany, Georgia, Ohio and Michigan, moving to Minnesota in 2003.
She was a teacher for several years, and then became a full-time homemaker. Her great joys were knitting, cross stitch, basket weaving and quilting projects, always with many in the queue. Friends marveled how she could knit or cross stitch while watching her sons' athletic events & never seem to miss a stitch or a play!
Family & friends will miss her generosity and love. A memorial service will be held at the 1st Congregational Church in Riceville, Iowa, Wednesday, December 20 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred: American Association of Cancer Research (www.aacr.org) or Lifeline of Hope International Orphan Aid and Adoption
