Andrew Erickson died yesterday afternoon at about 4 o'clock, after a long and painful illness from consumption. Mr. Erickson was one of the early settlers of this part of the county and was a gentleman who enjoyed the confidence and esteem of his neighbors. We learn that the funeral will take place tomorrow, but at what hour we are not informed.

The funeral of Andrew Erickson occurred last Friday afternoon and was one of the largest ever seen in this place. Relatives and friends of the deceased gathered at his late residence at 11 o'clock, a.m., in great numbers. The procession reached the Norwegian Lutheran Church at about 2 o'clock and found the edifice crowded with people who came to pay a parting tribute to the dead man.
Rev. Olsen delivered the funeral discourse, which is said to have been an exceptionally good one. The procession left the church at about 4:30 and passed up main street on its way to the cemetery, where the mortal remains of one of our most respected citizens were silently laid away.
