Miss Anna Osburn -- died 2 March 1887
Miss Anna Osburn, formerly a resident of Mitchell township, died in St. Paul last Wednesday from inflammation of the stomach, superinduced by an over dose of the fluid extract of calechicum root.
The young lady had been suffering from rheumatism and sent her younger sister, Delia, to a drug store to purchase a nickel's worth of the above drug. The druggist who sold the stuff neglected to label the package “poison.” A coroners inquest was held which found that she came to her death as above stated.
Miss Osburn was well and favorably known to a large number of the people of this town, who were pained to learn of her untimely death.
