Gilbert Thorson died Thursday afternoon, from dropsy, after a long and painful illness. He has been attending a theological institution at Minneapolis for some time, but was forced to give up his studies along about the middle of February on account of failing health. Since that time he has consulted several doctors, but his disease was of such a nature that nothing could be done for him.
The funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran Church last Saturday. The attendance was unusually large, there being some thirty teams in the procession as it moved from the church to the cemetery.
Deceased was 24 years of age, and a person who commanded a general respect among his acquaintances.
