New Haven Carpenter
Dies; Funeral Monday

OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral rites were to be held Monday morning for Edward Nichols, 74, who died Thursday at his home at New Haven. Services were at St. Peters Church New Haven, with burial in the church cemetery. A stroke caused his death.

Edward Nichols was born in Wisconsin and as a young man came to New Haven, where he worked as a carpenter.

He married Susan Theis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Theis. They made their home at New Haven.

Surviving are his wife. Susan Theis Nichols. two children, Francis of Dubuque, and Bertha, in Alaska, one brother, John Nichols, and three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Baumboch, Mrs. Maude Brooks, and Mrs. Clara Nichols, all of Sparta, Wisconsin.
