RITES HELD FOR MITCHELL COUNTY PIONEER AT LYLE; FATHER OF 10 CHILDREN
St. Ansgar, Aug 20. – Rites for Jeremiah Springer, 79, who died at the home of his son, Oliver Springer at Lyle, Minnesota, Saturday morning, were held in Lyle this morning.
Mr. Springer was the father of 10 children, eight of whom are now grown and have homes of their own.
Mr. Springer is also survived by his widow. The Rev. Otis Moore of St. Ansgar was in charge.

Jeremiah Springer was born May 20, 1850, in Bloomington, McLean, Illinois, the son of Joseph Springer and Rachel (Laycock) Springer. He married Catherine Buchanan Smith, the daughter of Hayden Smith and Margaret (Maple) Smith
