Abigail “Abbie” Fidelia (Brown) Boynton

April 8, 1850 – July 10, 1934

MRS. BOYNTON, OSAGE, IS DEAD
RITES FOR MITCHELL COUNTY
EARLY SETTLER WILL BE HELD THURSDAY

Osage – July 11. – Mrs. Wilbur F. Boynton died Tuesday at the home of her daughter here, Mrs. Lee Ross, following failing health, her death hastened by the fracture of her hip a few weeks ago.

Abbie Brown was born at Westfield, Vermont, April 8, 1850. She was married to Mr. Boynton January 28, 1868, the couple coming from Vermont to Mitchell County by team and boat, and spent nearly all of the remainder of their lives here.
Mr. Boynton died about three years ago.

Three children survive: Mrs. Lee Ross; Thomas of Forest City; and David of Waterloo; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Mrs. Boynton was a member of the Universalist Church, and an honorary member of the Shakespearean club. Services will be at Shelledy Funeral Home Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

She was buried in the Osage Cemetery. Her parents are also buried in the Osage Cemetery
