Herbert C. Christiansen, 85, formerly of Nora Springs, died Friday, June 10, 1994 at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Monday at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, with the Rev. Roger Hoppenworth and Rev. Robert Porisch officiating. Burial was in the Rock Creek Cemetery.
Champion Funeral Home, Osage, was in charge of the arrangements.
Herbert C. Christiansen was born September 18, 1908, near Nora Springs to Hans and Augusta (Wohlert) Christiansen.
He attended Cedar No. 4 rural School and attended Nora Springs High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He lived in Minnesota for many years and worked as a gardener. He enjoyed fishing and baseball.
Survivors include four brothers, Carl Christiansen, Nora Springs, John and Glen Christiansen, both of Osage, and Lawrence Christiansen, St. Ansgar.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alvin.
