ROSE WARREN

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Arnold (Rose) Warren, who died on her 67th birthday, Friday July 13 at her home in Osage.

The Rev. Joseph Nesheim officiated at the service and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born July 13, 1917, near Swea City, Rose was educated in Elmore, Minnesota. Her parents were Gust and Sarah Anderson. She graduated from Waldorf College in Forest City and attended the University of Minnesota.

She married Arnold Warren on June 20, 1943.

Through the Drake University College of Continuing Education, she received her insurance agent's license. They operated Warren Insurance Agency in Osage. Prior to that she taught school.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Silas and Clifford; and one sister, Lila.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold; two daughters, Mrs. C. C. (Virginia) Hirt, Los Alamos, New Mexico, and Mrs. Dale (Elizabeth) Mooberry, Osage; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Gladys) Subers of Aurora, Illinois, and Mrs. Jack (Lillie) Marcheski of Hollister, California, and two brothers, Guy Anderson of Mountain View, Missouri, and Clarence Anderson of Glencoe, Minnesota.

ROSE WARREN

Rose Warren was born July 3, 1917 near Swea City, Iowa to Gust and Sara Anderson. She was raised on a farm near Elmore Minnesota and graduated from Elmore High School. She later graduated from Waldorf College in Forest City and attended the University of Minnesota. After her graduation from Waldorf College, she came to Osage where she taught in elementary school. Although she had gone to Waldorf with Arnold Warren it wasn't until she's started her teaching career that they began to date. They were married on June 20, 1943 in Elmore.

She had Arnold became the parents of two daughters - Virginia Lee, born March 22, 1944 and Elizabeth and, born July 29, 1947. Virginia is now Mrs. C. W. Hirt of Los Alamos, New Mexico and Elizabeth is now Mrs. Dale Mooberry of Osage.

Through the Drake University College of Continuing Education she received her insurance agent's license. She and Arnold owned and operated Warren insurance agency in Osage.

She had a love of the arts all of her adult life and was a rosemaler who shared her tolerance with friends and relatives and often the programs on this hobby when asked to local groups.

Rose was active all her life in her community and her church. She served on many committees and was an active member of Shakespearean Club and Wa-Tan-Ye Club.

She died on her 67th birthday on July 13, 1984 after a battle with cancer and is buried in the Osage Cemetery.
