Funeral services for Ida H. Rust, 89, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center November 1, 1978, were held November 3 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating.

Ida Hanson Rust was born February 22, 1889 in Otranto township, Mitchell county, the daughter of Nels Hanson Rust and Betsy (Mikkelson) Rust. She attended Pleasant Prairie school and Cedar Valley Seminary, Osage. She was baptized in 1889 by the Rev. Olsen, and confirmed October 18, 1903 by the Rev. Waldeland, and was a lifelong member of First Lutheran church. Miss Rust worked in the George Hormel home in Austin, Minn. and also in Minneapolis until her health failed. She then made her home with her mother, Mrs. Betsy Rust in St. Ansgar. She had been a resident at the Good Samaritan Center here for the past 10 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Henry, Gilman and Frank Rust. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Frank (Nellie) Chatman of Osage; two nephews, Allen Rust of St. Ansgar and Ben Chatman of Osage. Another nephew, Alfred Chatman of Madison, Wis. died only a week ago.

Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in charge of committal services.

Miss Ida Grace Rust

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Services for Miss Ida Grace Rust, 89, who died Wednesday, November 1, 1978 at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar, will be at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. Burial will be in church cemetery.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Frank Chatman of Osage; two nephews and a niece.

Schroeder and Dunn Funeral Home in St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements where friends may call between 2:00 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
