AGED RESIDENT OF OSAGE DIES
Osage – Funeral services for Walter T. Reed, 81, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home. Burial in the Osage Cemetery. He died Thursday evening at his home in Osage.
Mr. Reed was born near Pleasantville November 30, 1869, and came to Osage in 1914 where he since lived. He was formerly employed by the railroad company in Mitchell County.
Survivors include two sons; Leonard of Cresco; and Howard of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two daughters; Mrs. William Olmstead of Shell Rock; and Mrs. Lloyd Colby, Osage; two sisters; Mrs. Fannie Kamp, Pleasantville; and Mrs. Hattie Hughes, Prairie City; and two brothers; Joseph of Osage and James of Des Moines.

Walter was the son of James Reed and Mary (Metcalf) Reed. He married Estella Candace Wall, the daughter of Thomas and Martha (Iddings) Wall. (Their parents’ names from the 1925 Iowa Census:
