FORMER CHICAGO MERCHANT DIES
FRANK B. CREGO LIVED WITH SISTER IN OSAGEOsage – Frank B. Crego, one-time Chicago bootery operator, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. James A. Smith, Monday.
He has spent the past 2 years in Osage and during that time has been in failing health. Time for the funeral service has not been set.
Mr. Crego was born in May, 1854, at Constantine, Michigan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulef Crego. There he spent his boyhood, and married Capitola Logan of Osage. They made their home in Chicago, where he operated a shoe shop.
He is survived by one son, Rulef, and a grandson, both of Chicago, and a sister; Mrs. James A. Smith. Another sister; Mrs. E. S. Fonda, preceded him in death.

Frank B. Crego, was the son of Rulef Crego and Charlotte (Hutchins) Crego. He married Capitola Logan. They had one son Rulef Frank Crego who was born September 5, 1888 and died November 28, 1972 in Florida.
Frank and his wife were buried in the Osage Cemetery. His mother Charlotte is also buried there. His father Rulef died in 1857 and is buried in the Lily Lake Cemetery, Vandalia, Cass Co., Michigan.
His two sisters mentioned in the obit Loretta Eliza (Crego) Fonda and Mary Alice (Crego) Smith are also buried in Osage Cemetery.
