Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 5, 1986 at Immaculate Conception Church of Riceville for Mabel M. Klaes, 87, of Riceville. Father J. Carpender officiated, and burial was in the Calvary Cemetery. Lindstrom Funeral Home of Riceville was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Klaes died on Wednesday, April 2, 1986, at the Riceville rest home.
She was born on September 9, 1898 in Riceville, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Hughes) Quinn. She married Theodore Klaes on May 9, 1922 in Riceville. Mr. Klaes died in August of 1960. She was active in the Immaculate Conception Church and was a member of Rosary Society. She was a lifelong resident of Riceville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include one son, Ray of New Haven; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Eugenia) Wagner of Riceville and Mrs. Bob (Dorothy) Bensend of Osage; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
