WIELAND, DEISING, HAVENS, ROSENSWEIG, SONBERG, KRAMER

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 1987 at United Church of Christ, Osage, Iowa, for Fannie Wieland, 90, of Osage. Rev. K. Hejnal will officiate and burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Mrs. Wieland died on Sunday, February 1, 1987 at an Osage nursing home.

Mrs. Wieland was born on July 14, 1896 at Marshalltown, Iowa, to John and Alice (Deising) Havens. She was raised in Marshalltown and attended schools there.

On March 23, 1918, she married Fred Wieland at Marshalltown. They farmed in the Cresco and New Hampton area until 1927 when they moved to the Osage area. In 1947 the couple retired and moved to Riceville where they lived until Mr. Wieland died in 1955.

Mrs. Wieland then lived in Osage until 1974 when she moved to Madill, Oklahoma. In 1981, she returned to Osage where she was a resident of a nursing home.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Robert (Mary Helen) Rosensweig of Riceville, Mrs. Donald (Doris) Sonberg of Charles City, and Mrs. Richard (Lola) Kramer of Osage; three sons, Albert of Rose, Oklahoma, and Howard and Fred Jr., both of Osage; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
