DAVID J. KOLLMAN

Feb. 4, 1963 - May 8, 2000

ORCHARD, IOWA - David J. Kollman, 37, of Orchard, died Monday (May 8, 2000) at his home.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Champion Funeral Home, 702 State St., Osage, with the Rev. Robert Melhorn officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

David J. Kollman was born February 4, 1963, in Osage, Iowa, the son of Ronald and Janyce (Allstot) Kollman. The family moved to Arizona in 1965, living there until 1975 when they returned to Osage. He graduated from Osage High School. During high school he worked at the Schultz Bros. Store. He moved to Black River Falls, Wisconsin, to manage a Schultz Store and later managed stores in Owatonna, Minnesota, and Reedsburg, Wisconsin.

He married Teresa Walter in 1982 at Black River Falls, Wisconsin. In 1986 they returned to Osage. He worked at Winnebago, Brees Tire and Cooper's Chrysler. He was a former member of the Orchard City Council.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Kollman of Orchard; one daughter, Nicole Kollman, Orchard; one son, Nathan Kollman of Orchard; his parents, Ronald and Janyce Kollman, of Osage; two sisters, Charlotte Carrison and her husband, Clint, of Northwood, and Teresa Kleckner and her husband, Tracy, of Osage; one brother, Anthony Kollman and his wife, Chris, of Abbottstown, Pennsylvania; and 13 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
