Fred W Wall – 1859 – December 1, 1943

Charles City Briefs: Mrs. Melvin Horgen and daughter, Shirley Horgen, and Mrs. Fred Frost, went to McIntire, Saturday, to attend funeral services for Fred Wall.
Mrs. Horgen’s and Mrs. Frost’s father, who died Wednesday night.
His daughters, Mrs. Frost and Mrs. Horgen, were called to McIntire Wednesday.

Fred W. Wall was born in May 1859 in Wisconsin, the son of William Wall and Elizabeth (Lovejoy) Wall.
He married Ella Marie Perrigo, the daughter of David Perrigo and Sarah (Hopkins) Perrigo. (maiden and parent’s names from 1925 Iowa Census ). **Fred’s birth date in the 1900 Census said May 1861, but his tombstone in the Wayne Cemetery, Mitchell Co., Iowa, has 1859-1943.
As of the 1900 US Census, Wayne, Mitchell, Iowa, they had the following 8 children living with them.
Charles W born August 1882 in Wisconsin
Robert G. Wall born December 1884 in Wisconsin
Mable M Wall born October 1887 in Wisconsin….she married Frederick W. Frost
Harry P. Wall born September 1889 in Wisconsin
Monty E. Wall born March 1891 in Wisconsin
Cora B. Wall born October 1892 in Wisconsin…she married Peter Melvin Horgen
Lee A. Wall born May 1894 in Wisconsin
Lou O. Wall born August 1898 in Wisconsin.
