Deaths - Mrs. Hannah Schwanke
Mrs. Hannah (Emil) Schwanke, 88, died Thursday afternoon at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center, St. Ansgar. She was formerly a resident of the Lyle area. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Helga) Clausen, St. Ansgar; one son, Arnold Schwanke, Denver, Colo., three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Lyle.

Funerals - Schwanke
Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Schwanke, Lyle, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lyle, Rev. Harold Luecke officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa. Friends may call at the Worlein funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday and one hour before the service at the church.

1886 Hannah Schwanke 1975
Hannah Amelia Schwanke was born April 8, 1886, near the town of Lyle, Minn., the daughter of Amund and Helga Olson. Hannah, at her death was the last surviving child from a family of eight children.
She lived in the Lyle vicinity during her youth, and on November 29, 1906, was united in marriage to Emil H. Schwanke. This union was blessed with four children, one of who died in infancy.
Hannah was an active member of the Royal Neighbor Society and the Minereka Ladies Aid. She was a very energetic individual, spending lots of time in caring for her family and pursuing her hobbies of embroidery and quilt making.
Her husband, Emil, preceded her in death on August 4, 1955. One son, Elmer, passed away on August 7, 1964. After her son, Elmer's, death she lived for a period of time with her daughter, Helga, in St. Ansgar. The last 7 years she has been confined to the Good Samaritan Home in St. Ansgar. During her confinement she much appreciated the visits of her friends and relatives.
She is survived by a daughter, Helga, of St. Ansgar; and a son, Arnold, of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren; Richard Clausen of Stacyville, Iowa; Mrs. Greg (Linda) Munson of Rochester, Minn.; and Allen Clausen of Minneapolis, Minn.; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 27, 1975, at the Our Saviors' Lutheran Church in Lyle, Minn., with Rev. Luecke officiating. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mona, Iowa.
