Deaths - Mrs. Annie Dennis

Mrs. Annie Dennis, 92, died Thursday night at St. Olaf Hospital following a long illness.

A former resident of Lyle, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Herman (Minnie) Berndt, Mrs. Kelse (Helen) Webster, Austin, Mrs. Fred (Mabel) Wollenberg, Minneapolis; a son, Floyd Johnson, Isanti, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Emil Schwanke, Lyle, Mrs. Julia Peterson, Austin; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon.

Funerals

Dennis - Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Dennis, formerly of Lyle, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Worlein Funeral Home, Rev. Melvin Hauge officiating.

Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa. Friends may call at the Worlein Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service Sunday.

Obituaries -

1871 Annie Dennis 1963

Annie Dennis, daughter of Amand and Helga Olsen, was born in Norway, January 1, 1871.

She passed away September 12, after a linger illness of several years, having attained the age of 92 years, 8 months, 11 days. In her youth, she immigrated to America and located at Lyle, Minn.

She lived there until 15 years ago, when she moved to Austin. She was united in marriage with John Johnson in 1887, who preceded her in death. A daughter, Diana, born to this union also passed away.

In 1915, she was united in marriage with Newton Dennis. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Lyle.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Herman Berndt (Minnie), Mrs. Kelsie Webster (Helen), Austin, Mrs. Fred Wollenberg (Mabel), Minneapolis; a son, Floyd Johnson, Isanti, Minn. Two sisters, Mrs. Julia Peterson, Mrs. Hannah Schwanke, also survive.

Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa.

Dennis - We extend our heartfelt thanks to relatives, friends and neighbors for their many acts of kindness during the illness and death of our beloved mother and sister, Anna Dennis. We are especially grateful to Pastor Hauge for his visits, prayers and comforting words. Thanks also to the visiting committee of Our Saviors Church at Lyle, and to Pastor Swenson and Rev. Johnson for their visits. Thanks to Dr. Lommen and the hospital personnel, the Lyle Circle that served, the casket bearers, the Worlein Funeral Home and all who aided us in our time of sorrow. God bless you.
