KURINA, BINA, SCHUBERT

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 1, 1986 at Champion Funeral Home in Osage for John Kurina, 90, of Osage, who died on Saturday, March 29 at an Osage nursing home. Rev. Joe Heineman, Pastor of St. Ansgar Catholic Church will officiate and burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.
Mr. Kurina was born on March 6, 1896 in Czechoslovakia, to John and Catherine (Bina) Kurina. He came to America in 1921.
He married Louise Schubert in Chicago in 1923. The couple moved to Iowa in 1930 and farmed in the Osage area until 1951 when they retired and moved to Osage.
Survivors include a son, John of Seattle; one sister in Czechoslovakia; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
