Three are gone before, all dying in childhood, the husband and five children survive her: Harald, Mrs. C. H. Carlson, Herman and Sever reside near the old home and Martin in McVille, N.D. All were present during their mother's illness, her death and funeral. Twenty-seven grandchldren survive her, also three sisters, one in Norway and two in America.

Mr. and Mrs. Klemesrd came to this country in the summer of 1866. The first two years they lived near Black Earth, Dane county, Wisconsin. In the fall of 1868 they moved to Mitchell County, Iowa, and settled in the Rock Creek settlement. October 11, 1908, they celebrated their golden wedding.

The funeral was held Wednesday, January 5, 1916, at the home and the Lutheran church, conducted by the pastor, assisted by Rev. Moe, of Lyle. She was laid to rest in the cemetery near the Lutheran church.
