LITTLE CEDAR RESIDENT DIES
Little Cedar – Funeral services for York Covey, 80, were to be held at the Champion Funeral Home at Osage Friday at 2 p.m. with burial at Little Cedar. He died Wednesday night at a nursing home in Stacyville.
For 10 years he operated a grain elevator at Stacyville and he formerly operated automobile businesses at Osage and later at Waterloo.
He leaves the widow, son Grant, of Little Cedar; 4 brothers; Fred; Harry; Lee; and Dana of Westfield, New York; and a sister; Mrs. E. C. Larson, of North Girard, Pennsylvania

York Covey was born October 7, 1870 in New York, the son of Alpheus and Maria (Inwards) Covey.
He married Lillian Ainslee Fritcher, the daughter of Edwin and Neubelia (Cornick) Fritcher.
They had one son Grant Cover who was born April 27, 1900 in Mitchell Co., Iowa and died September 1978.
