Frethjof, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Rev. J. Olsen, died yesterday morning at 2:30 after a long and painful illness, aged 9 years, 4 months, and 29 days. Deceased has for many months been a sufferer from rheumatism and during a long pull of sickness last spring the disease settled in his heart. Although able to be out and around the greater part of the summer he was nevertheless very feeble. The funeral services will be held at the Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock p.m. Friday and it is expected that several divines from other localities will be present. Miss Mollie Olsen, who is attending school at Oshkosh, Wis., has been appraised of the death of her brother and is expected home today. The parents have the sympathy of our people in the death of their beloved little son.

We hereby extend our heartfelt thanks to those who so kindly assisted us in our late bereavement.

Rev. Olsen and Family

Item#2

The funeral of the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rev. J. Olsen on account of whose death appeared in these columns last week, was held at the Norwegian Lutheran Church Friday afternoon. Rev. Nelson of Northwood delivered the funeral discourse and was assisted by Rev. Eggen of Mona. The funeral was one of the largest ever witnessed in this town. A very great number of Americans were present to pay a parting tribute to the dead. It was indeed a solemn occasion.
