Funeral services were held Thursday, March 6, 1986, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rock township, rural Osage, for Arthur Wilde, 79, a retired Osage area farmer. Rev. Richard Zellmer officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Wilde died on Sunday, March 2, 1986, at the St. Ansgar nursing home [Good Samaritan Center].
Mr. Wilde was born on October 24, 1906, the son of Herman and Martha (Trachte) Wilde, southeast of Grafton. He attended rural schools in Mitchell County. On November 25, 1934 he and Leola Ingersoll were married at St. John's Lutheran Church parsonage in Rock Township. He farmed all his life on the family farm.
Survivors include his wife, Leola; five daughters: Mrs. Curtis (Doris) Clifford of Nora Springs, Iowa, Mrs. Marshall (Gladys) Bearbower of Peterson, Minnesota, Mrs. Joe (Violet) Duren of Stacyville, and Mrs. Ronald (Janet) Juenger and Mrs. David (Betty) Warrington, both of St. Ansgar; three sons: Glen and Garry both of Osage, and Jerry of Dorchester; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Laura Hinsman of Grafton.
