MAAKESTAD, Pearl 1900-1986
Funeral services for Pearl Maakestad, 85, of Osage, Iowa, were held on Thursday, January 9, 1986, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage. Rev. D. Hanson officiated, and burial was in Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery southwest of Osage.
Pearl died on Monday, January 6, at an Osage nursing home.
She was born in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar and Carrie (Brendon) Olsen.
She was married to Myron Maakestad in February, 1920 in Osage, and they farmed in Mitchell County until retiring and moving to Osage.
Survivors include her husband, Myron; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Ardis) Dieterich of Osage; a son, Gene of Osage, six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ed (Lillie) Fredrickson of Algona, Iowa.
