A PROMINENT WOMANMrs. Richard Dorsey passed away at her home last Friday, after a short illness, and one that could not be abated in spite of care by specialists, and all that could be done.
Bridget Gavican, daughter of James Gavican and Mary Martin Gavican, was born at, or near, Wilmington, Illinois, June 16, 1850, and was married at that place to Richard Dorsey, and their family of the following children was born to them there: James, Frank, John, Katherine Dorsey-Kelley, William Dorsey and Mary Dorsey-Egan, the latter of whom passed away a couple of years ago.

Kelley, of Wilmigton; Frank Dorsey, Howell, Michigan; John Dorsey and family, Plymouth, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Barney Cummings and daughter, Cedar Falls; the Misses Nellie and Agnes Marten, Wilmington, Illinois, (Cousins) James Gavican, Peoria, Illinois, and John Gavican, Danville, Illinois. (The last two named are brothers).
