Olivia W. (Hemann) Viktora
July 2, 1928 — April 30, 2010Olivia “Ollie” Viktora, 81, of Wahkon, died April 30, 2010, at her granddaughter’s home in Albert Lea.
A memorial service was held May 7 in Albert Lea.
A memorial luncheon will be held Sunday, May 23, 2 to 4 p.m. at the Vet’s Club, 3 miles north of Onamia, hwys. 169 and 27.
Ollie is survived by her son Edward Viktora of Tucson, Arizon; grandsons Richard (Brenda) Roberts and Robert Viktora; granddaughters Christine (Chad) Garness, Lisa Samudio and Gina (Chris) Zuehl; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; brothers Ernie, Fritz and Clem; sister Yvonne; nieces and nephew Dee Dee, Kira and Brandon Hemann, and other nieces and nephews, family and friends who were close to her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Wannetta Roberts; brothers Ralph, Loren, Robert, Art and Junior; sisters Rose, Laura, Gertie, Dorothy and Betty.
Ollie was born in Stacyville, Mitchell county, Iowa, to Frank and Christine (Schaefer) Hemann on July 2, 1928. She was seventh in a family of 14 children.
She retired from Kaplan Box when she was 60. She moved to Wahkon full time where she pursued her love of fishing and helping people. She was a wonderful neighbor.
Ollie continued to work in the Mille Lacs Lake area until just a few years ago. Ollie had a very loving and outspoken personality, and she made people laugh with her wonderful sense of humor.
Ollie’s family would like to thank all of her friends and neighbors for their kindness to their mother, grandmother and aunt
