FORMER OSAGE WOMAN SUCCUMBS IN OREGON

Osage – John Klar, Springfield, Oregon, was expected here Tuesday with the body of his mother-in-law, Louise Basford, who died Thursday. Her daughter, Mrs. Klar, was unable to come because of a new baby in the family

The Basford family formerly lived at Orchard and Osage. Mr. Basford died in 1925 and Mrs. Basford thereafter made her home with her daughter at Osage many years, moving to Springfield, Lane Co., Oregon in 1940.

Besides her daughter she leaves 2 sisters, Georgia Andrews of Orchard and Grace Colton of Elma.

Louise Lytle was born June 1868 in Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry Lytle and Julia (Potter) Lytle. She married Leslie Basford, the son of Samual and Mary (Bishop) Basford.

The daughter mentioned in the obit is Grace Lois (Basford) Klar who was born March 8, 1903 in Mitchell Co. She married John Klar.

Another daughter Mabel (Basford) Warrington preceded her mother in death. Mabel died in 1928 and is buried in the Osage Cemetery.
