JOHN GLASPEY DIED AT 88 IN HOSPITAL

John N. Glaspey, 88, retired farmer of Osage, Iowa, died early Wednesday morning in the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage.

Mr. Glaspey was born August 12, 1872, in Page County, Iowa, son of Silas and Liza (Loper) Glaspey. He attended rural schools of Page County and then homesteaded in North Dakota from 1902 until 1944. He moved to Osage in 1955.

He was married to Annie Olson September 26, 1899 in Algona.

Surviving are his wife; two sons; M. E. (Sam) Glaspey, Lignite, N.D.; and John Glaspey, Mason City; two daughters; Mrs. Orville (Mabel) Snowbarger, North Hollywood, Calif.; and Mrs. Glen (Jessie) Berg, Mason City; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral arrangements are in complete. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Funeral Home after 3 p.m.
