DILLY, Albert 1862-1930
Albert Dilly, whose serious illness with heart trouble terminated with death Monday morning at 2:30 at his home near Acme, had been in poor health for the past year, although his death came as a shock to this community.
He was the son of John and Barbara Dilly of Freeport, Illinois. He was born on October 19, 1862 and died on November 24, 1930, at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 6 days.
Early in infancy, he was baptized in the Lutheran faith, later renewing his vows through confirmation and remained a faithful member until death. His sincere faith was reflected in his daily life.
He was married on June 8, 1905 to Marie Reckner. To this union was born one daughter, Mable. For the past 40 years he had made his home at Acme, where he had conducted a general store and where he was always held in the highest esteem by a host of friends. He leaves to mourn his loss, a kind and loving wife, one child, Mrs. Harry Ring, four brothers: Adam and August of Freeport, Illinois, George; of Allison, Iowa; and Louis of Pomeroy, Iowa. Also a large number of friends and relatives who will greatly miss him.
One brother, George; and one sister, Mrs. Adam Guth, preceded him in death.
