RICEVILLE MAN DIED OF STROKE
ADOLF EHRENSTEIN, 61, STRICKEN AT WATERLOO

Riceville – Funeral services were to be held Saturday afternoon in the Loper Funeral Home for Adolf J. Ehrenstein who died Tuesday afternoon at 18th and Commercial Streets in Waterloo, victim of a heart attack.

Mr. Ehrenstein had been in Riceville over Christmas and had returned to his work at the Rath Packing Company on Tuesday. He was on his way home from work when stricken.

Mr. Ehrenstein was born August 4, 1883, in Holstein, Germany, and came to Iowa in 1899. In 1916 the family moved to Canada and in 1928 to Riceville.

His wife died in 1937 and a daughter, Amy, died in 1938.

He is survived by 2 daughters; Mrs. Cecil Foote, Riceville; and Mrs. Harold Bemus, Waterloo, with whom he made his home.
One brother, William, and 3 sisters, all of Keystone, and 6 grandchildren.
